- Applied Psychology, MS
Position yourself for career success with a mastery of research methods, psychological theory and statistical and qualitative analysis. In addition to the core MS curriculum, you can customize your studies with electives, extracurricular research and applied work experience. Graduates from our program prepared to meet the rising demand for employees skilled in “mixed methods” (qualitative and quantitative) techniques.
- Art Therapy, MA
For those pursuing licensure as Registered Art Therapists, GW’s Master’s program equips you with immersive, hands-on experience in serving a wide range of clients as you hone your clinical and case management skills—all while building your theoretical foundation in individual, family and group counseling, psychopathology and human development. Plus, all students in the master’s program complete trauma training, an essential skill for future art therapists, applying lessons to real-life client work in our on-site GW Art Therapy Clinic.
- Clinical Psychology, PsyD
Through immersive clinical training and research methods, GW’s PsyD program prepares you to assess and treat psychopathology to help a wide range of people—from teenagers with depression and veterans with PTSD through holistic therapy, to counseling patients in the LGBT community and more. Gain hands-on experience via GW’s Center Clinic, as well as several external internship opportunities.
- Speech-Language Pathology, MA
Gain comprehensive insight into communication disorders and their consequences for individuals and society as you pursue your credentials in our practical, hands-on Master’s program. Additionally, you will complete core practicum rotations under the supervision of certified clinicians in the GW Speech and Hearing Center, as well as two clinical externships in the community.
- Speech-Language Pathology, MA (Post-Baccalaureate)
Specially designed for aspiring speech-language pathologists who do not have a speech or hearing undergraduate degree, this post-baccalaureate program prepares you for a future career in the field with hands-on experience with diagnostic materials, case management and clinical observations. Plus, all post-baccalaureate students perform 25 hours of clinical observation.
